We are now open daily from 10 to 6.
Because of our nice cold winter, we have a huge crop of peaches this year. The early variety (June Gold - semi-cling) bolted due to the early heat and ripened very fast. Most of them are now picked out, but there are still a couple hundred pounds of them on the trees. The other variety (TexRoyal - free stone) is just ripening now and we picked some sweet, juicy beauties yesterday. We should be picking TexRoyal peaches for the next 3 weeks (estimated). The blackberry crop is not as plentiful as it had been in past years. There are some nice blackberries to pick and they are liking this heat! In the barn we have already picked peaches and blackberries, a variety of baked goods made from our fruit and berries and jams. We have built up our inventory of metal art work for sale that is displayed in the barn. New this year are the huge outdoor metal animal sculptures sprinkled around the farm. We have a baby giraffe and elephant, and a gorilla under the big oak tree. We have a huge longhorn watching them. We have a deer and a horse in the field, and a giant jack rabbit by the barn, as well as a hound dog under the oak tree near the barn. Kids love having their pictures taken with them. We would love to see you on the farm. Jack and Elaine
