Here is how I peel the hundreds of peaches that are used for cooking here at the farm.
Yes bring the kids out to our farm and pick you own peaches, its a fun family activity. The kids will have fun and thank you. You will then be shown and taught how easy it is to peel a peach to ready it for freezing for future cobblers, peach pies or whatever you would like to cook in the future months. You can easily pick hundreds of pounds of peaches or just a few pounds. And the best news is, our peaches chemical free. We never spray anything on our peaches and we only use rainwater for irrigation.
Spend an hour on our farm and you will truly have family fun.

We will open tomorrow morning (Sunday) at 8 AM so folks can pick before it gets too hot. Our peach trees are loaded and we had many, many pickers today. Thank you to the pickers today who picked A LOT of beautiful peaches.

Come on down to the farm!
We have had a tremendous number of peach pickers today. Thank you very much!
Come try our fruity peach cupcakes!
Thank you to all of you who picked our June Gold peaches. We now have the TexRoyal peaches available. They are ripening fast with this early hot weather.
We are now open daily from 10 to 6.
Because of our nice cold winter, we have a huge crop of peaches this year. The early variety (June Gold - semi-cling) bolted due to the early heat and ripened very fast. Most of them are now picked out, but there are still a couple hundred pounds of them on the trees. The other variety (TexRoyal - free stone) is just ripening now and we picked some sweet, juicy beauties yesterday. We should be picking TexRoyal peaches for the next 3 weeks (estimated).
The blackberry crop is not as plentiful as it had been in past years. There are some nice blackberries to pick and they are liking this heat!
In the barn we have already picked peaches and blackberries, a variety of baked goods made from our fruit and berries and jams.
We have built up our inventory of metal art work for sale that is displayed in the barn. New this year are the huge outdoor metal animal sculptures sprinkled around the farm. We have a baby giraffe and elephant, and a gorilla under the big oak tree. We have a huge longhorn watching them. We have a deer and a horse in the field, and a giant jack rabbit by the barn, as well as a hound dog under the oak tree near the barn. Kids love having their pictures taken with them.
We would love to see you on the farm.

We're open today from 10 - 6!
We have an early variety of peaches (June Gold) today that you can pick. These peaches are so early the pit never formed and inside of the peach is a split pit. They are very sweet and juicy but we recommend that this be used for cooking or at least cut with a knife for consumption not to have pit pieces in your mouth. We are selling these peaches $1 per pound (you pick) or $1.50 a pound (we pick).
The peach cobblers are in the oven (peaches picked this morning) and we have Peach and Peach Pecan jams made from peaches picked yesterday.
In addition, we have some farm and metal art pieces that we have made.
We look forward to seeing you on the farm.

Due to our colder winter 2017-2018 our berries are ripening later. Many of you have called about the availability of blackberries. The blackberries should be available in 2 weeks. The peaches should be available by the beginning of June. It is all weather-dependent. This year we will not have as many blackberries as in previous years. However, we will have LOTS of peaches for picking this year! We will post when each of the crops are ready for picking.
We have a new member of our farm family. She is a baby elephant and is happy under our big old Live Oak with her friend the giraffe. Next year, you will see our metal sculpture safari on the farm when you come to pick peaches, blackberries, and strawberries. We never know what animal will come next.
