Thank you friends and neighbors for coming out to our farm this year! We had a wonderful harvest, especially the blackberries. We are taking some time off from selling produce while we ready the fields for our fall crops. There is always work to be done.....
Jack has already trimmed all of the blackberry plants, readying them for next year. Maybe we should rename our farm "Thorns in Zorn"!!! We are anxiously awaiting the turtle nests to produce little turtles. The Mockingbird chicks are all out of the nest and running around. We have a new Sparrow nest on the ground near one of the blackberry plants. We are open 10 AM - 7 PM this weekend and on Monday, July 4th.
What do you do when you have LOTS of extra butternut squash? Make a bread out of it of course. This mini-loaf is very flavorful with lots of spices.
$3 per loaf Peach and Blackberry Cobblers are made from our own fruit of course with a topping that contains whole oats and lots of butter.
$10 for an 8x8 Cobbler. |
